CENTURIES OF TRADITION
Linen fabric is special because of the way it is grown, harvested, processed and cared for. It comes from one of the oldest cultivated plants known to man, the highly prized flax, Linum usitatissimum. In fact, flax fibres have been found dating back to 36,000 years ago. It’s also the only plant fibre originating on the European continent. Flax is an eco-responsible crop that grows heartily under sustainable conditions across northern Europe with no irrigation, typically without pesticides and can be woven into fabric using little or no harsh chemicals.
